Marcy Simon has worked for the Grandview School District for more than twenty years. She became principal of Conn-West in July of 2015. Before serving as principal, Ms. Simon served as Assistant Principal of Martin City K-8 School for seven years. Her responsibilities included working with students, parents, evaluating staff, and overseeing instruction for kindergarten through fifth grade.
Ms. Simon has had a variety of experiences in her career thus far. She taught second and third grade for a number of years, taught physical education, and served as an instructional coach.
Ms. Simon graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She recently earned an Educational Specialist Degree from Arkansas State University.
She wanted to become an educator because she saw the huge impact that elementary teachers had on students.
Ms. Simon enjoys working with students, teachers, and parents on a daily basis and finds this work extremely rewarding.
