Conn-West Student Council consists of four officers, President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer, which are held by fifth grade students. Students in grades three through five are chosen as classroom representatives who will also serve on the student council. Students are chosen based on an application process. The process includes attending an informational meeting, completing a paper application and collecting references from school staff members. Meetings are held once a month during the school day, although students may be asked to represent Conn-West at certain events that take place outside of the school day. Students are required to maintain adequate grades and behave in a responsible and respectful manner throughout their term on the student council.
